Ross House AssociationRoss House is a place for community groups to grow, connect and evolve. The five-storey heritage-listed Ross House building in Flinders Lane, Melbourne provides affordable, accessible office space for more than 50 small non-profit groups working towards environmental and social justice. Viola has worked with Ross House Association since 1999 and has managed its brand since 2003, designing a range of publications, fundraising tools, posters, postcards, and signage for the building and window display. The brand is vibrant with a distinctive colour palette and illustrative style. The logo represents the three-arched windows in the building's facade while the leaves symbolise the community growing.

ProjectsAnnual Report |
How is this green?Ross House is committed to and informed about minimising its environmental impact through its communications. All publications are printed on 100 per cent post-consumer recycled paper with vegetable-based inks. To minimise waste and ensure an efficient fit on press, options for formatting and page numbers are explored. When only a small print run is required, digital printing is the preferred option, saving on proofs, plates, resources and cost. |

ProjectsAvant Card Postcard |
How is this green?Avantcard sponsored the printing and distribution of a Ross House postcard within Victoria. Viola was printing some design work and the opportunity arose to print a gift card on the available space at minimal cost and resource use. Ross House jumped at the chance to use this spare sheet space to print a gift card that was sold as a fundraising tool. |

ProjectsStationery |
How is this green? The stationery for Ross House was designed using its two core branding colours. Printing in dual colour saves on plates and ink. As a special point of difference, its business cards have an embossed logo. A beautiful way to add a feature to your print work, embossing doesn’t use any extra ink and avoids the toxic nature of other specialty processes such as metallics, fluorescents and laminates. The stationery was printed on 100 per cent post-consumer recycled stock using vegetable-based inks. |
