NATSIWAThe National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women’s Alliance (NATSIWA) was established under the Australian Government’s commitment to address gender equality. The main purpose of NATSIWA is to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to have a strong and effective voice in the domestic policy advocacy process. Viola designed the brand for NATSIWA, in conjunction with a young, female, indigenous artist, and applied the brand to website, stationery and poster. The logo for NATSIWA depicts the story of the Seven Sisters.

How is this green?NATSIWA’s main point of contact for its members is its website and Viola designed an engaging, user-friendly site to bring together its community. By using existing electronic infrastructure as the main communication tool, Viola significantly reduced the amount of print collateral created and the associated environmental impacts and resources used. In addition, the NATSIWA brand features dual colour and all stationery was printed in a small run on a 100 per cent post-consumer recycled paper using vegetable-based inks, saving on plates, inks and minimising resource use and cost. |
